before 2008

its been a busy year. lots of things happened for a 18 year old. before i forget everything and semi-consciously begin another whole new year, i think its important to recap... theres something to learn from everything that happen. at least i think so.


first thing on my mind was my wonderful 18th bday. thanks to my dearest and bestest buddies for that memorable night at fish & co. never mind how embarrassing it was standing on the chair in the middle of the restuarant. never mind i didnt recieve much present (except for xinen's amazing gift of course ). never mind how funny i must have been trying to guess what they do to birthday gals at fish & co. never mind how stupid i must have been partially believing something about bikinis. never mind the meal was not that cheap and i couldn't finish it. never mind it was a tired wednesday night after Hnf activity day. I could have cried if I allowed myself to. touched is an understatement and i was really very happy. very. really.


i had a lot of firsts in my life. OBS anyone? someone like me who can sprain my ankle in sec 3 level camp haha... actually survive a 3 day OBS that includes a 7 hour kayaking course.... cool... then there was the first time ever did i behave so 'singaporean-ish'... i.e. kiasu. actually went to queue up for free levi jeans overnight. waited for 10 hours and still didnt get it in the end. so stupid.lol. also first time ever decide to dye my hair... and pierce earholes too. =)


at the age of 18, i also lost a friend for the first time. right at the beginning of the year... it was a difficult period to pass through. but we did. everything was so sudden. now over. i definitely learnt to be stronger and to treasure ppl around me more. but no, all these that i have learnt is never enough to exchange for a friend's life. yet the fact that we had accepted it, moved on and learnt something is the best that we can get out of it. now occasionally i will think of her. no more welling up of tears, but more of recalling whatever memories we shared together. i suppose thats the process of growing up...


near the end of 2007, i have started working and will temporarily say goodbye to life as a student.... unfortuantely i am suffering from suspected food poisoning accompanied by vomiting and diarrhoea. but yeah i am recovering and hopefully tonight as we embrace the arrival of the new year, all the unhappiness and bad things will be gone with the wind and the best awaits us ahead.

end of year rush

yep. i bought 2 pants + 2 tops + 1 cardigan + 1 shoe in less than 5 hours. =) all thanks to the crazy post-xmas-pre-new-year sale at tm. but still i need at least 1 more top and 1 more jeans. plus plenty lots of working clothes esp blouses. went kpmg to sign my contract today. omg. their dress code is so formal. no jeans even on fri!!!!! =( need to spend before i earn....

nothing to blog about actually. not much done on xmas eve and xmas except winnings at mahjong. haha then these few days will be work, home, tv, sleep, then work again the next morning. hmmm. looking forward to fri night class dinner and sunday my cousin wedding plus meeting up with the 3 of you! =)

santa's coming to town..

1 more week to x'mas... and thanks to si han. just recieved your card. yours is on the way soon. =) bought the cards long ago but busy with work and tv haah so just starting to pen them...guess there will be a 4H xmas gathering this weekend... but dunoe who will be going?

just got a job offer from kpmg. acc firm. starting 14 jan to 30 jun. office job. meaning i need some decent clothes though need not be too formal. and someone i know will be my colleague... hmmm. well hope we'll be in diff department. haha. everyone is busy with work this hols.... and havent had time to go iceskating/badminton etc... only went for movies and kbox. well i guess u have to earn first before u can spend. =)

biggest aim by CNY. >>> slim down!!!!!!!!!!!! hahas
